Regular Meeting -- May 15, 2022
The Board of Directors held its regular monthly meeting at 2007 Bert Avenue, Austin, TX 78704, starting at 2:30 pm via Zoom. The following directors (constituting a quorum of the full board) were present at the meeting by Zoom: President Kathy Lee, Vice President Kim Pillsbury, Secretary John McGarey. Executive Director Robert McGarey was also present at the meeting.
Neither the mission statement nor previous minutes were read.
Buildings. Bob has been investigating Tiny houses or manufactured homes and some options are less viable due to the housing market.Ê Manufactured home seems like the most reasonable option.
finances. HPC finances are surprisingly good. Ê$93,000 in the bank.Ê We bought some standing air filters (like standing fans) for the center. ÊSammm is talking again about possibly doing financial data entry for $200/mo.Ê Sammm and Earl are working together on entering and balancing the center's financial data. Ê
Repairs. There has been some progress on repairs such as mounting a medicine cabinet but it was off center and needs to be re-addressed.Ê The sink is permanently fixed. Gary Guilbeaux is the new GoodwheelChairs volunteer.Ê He will be on vacation so perhaps David Blackwell can help.Ê The job involved taking phone messages, meeting with people to sell the chairs and so on.
Since there was no further business, the meeting adjourned at 2:56pm.
